The judiciary claimed Shahram Sadeghi ran over and injured several police officers with his car. They declared he “carried out an operational action in support of the Zionist regime and the United States”. Sadeghi supposedly struck the officers on January 8 in Karaj, west of Tehran, as Iran’s security forces carried out military-style attacks adding to the toll of thousands slain during the protests.
