Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps struck a Singapore-flagged cargo vessel in the Strait of Hormuz on Thursday, The Wall Street Journal reported, citing two senior U.S. officials.
The ship had been hit by an "unknown projectile" off of Oman's Dahit, causing damage to the bridge, the United Kingdom Maritime Trade Operations center said. No casualties or environmental impact were reported, UKMTO said, adding that authorities are investigating the incident.
The United Nations' shipping agency said it has paused its evacuation plan for stranded ships out of the Strait of Hormuz until further clarity is obtained regarding the attack. The targeted ship did not transit under the evacuation plan, the agency said.
The Israel Air Force and ground forces fired at six Hezbollah operatives, including at least one who was armed, who posed a threat to Israeli troops in southern Lebanon, the IDF said.
According to the IDF's statement, the army struck five Hezbollah operatives who had posed a threat to its troops in the town of Zawtar al-Sharqiyah, in the Nabatieh District. Separately, troops struck an armed Hezbollah operative who had posed a threat to soldiers in the Ali al-Taher Ridge.
"IDF soldiers are operating in the Ali al-Taher Ridge area and will not allow Hezbollah terrorists to exit the underground tunnel network or operate in the area of the ridge," the IDF's statement read.
Earlier on Thursday, three people were reportedly killed and one was wounded in a drone strike on a vehicle in southern Lebanon, which medical and security sources attributed to Israel.

A helicopter carrying President Isaac Herzog made an emergency landing at an air base in central Israel after the aircraft was hit by birds, the IDF said.
The incident took place during a "routine" flight, no injuries were reported and the helicopter was not harmed in the incident, the IDF's statement said.

The statement also rejected "any tolls, fees, or attempts to assert control over the Strait [of Hormuz]."

IDF Chief of Staff Eyal Zamir said the army "needs every male and female soldier, every male and female commander."
